Second day morning, we were excited because we could meet our buddys for the first time. We were warmly welcomed. We joined the morning assembly and listened about this school. We got school badge then. It is cool!!!! After that we joined each buddy’s class. My buddy’s class was computer class. Everyone in the classroom was kind and smiled at me. I talked with my buddy and knew students in this school were very diligent. You studied at school till late time!! Next I took mathematics and chemistry class by our school’s teacher. We could make lots of friends. My English skill is not so good, but they listened to me carefully.
In the 2th day’s afternoon, we had presentation and played sports.
We had presentation about own research in English. I couldn’t do my best, because that was the first opportunity of English presentation, and I had been researching only 3 months. But, PCCC’s students listened and requested my presentation very much, so I spent very important time. Furthermore, I listened and requested PCCC student’s presentation. I could communicate with many people.
After that, we practiced sports. First, we enjoyed performance of “Thai boxing”, and we tried it. It was very interesting, and performer seemed very strong! Next, we played ball games with PCCC students.
I think we could become friends in that day.
After the sports activity, we had “welcome dinner” with PCCC students. Welcome dinner held the big hall, and there was many kinds of Thailand foods and fruits. Then, I presented coconut. Its juice was very sweet and tasty. During welcome dinner, PCCC students performed traditional Thai dance and boxing. Ichikawa students attended one of the Thai dance. I was very nervous, but I could enjoy it.
After the dinner, we took the photo with PCCC students. PCCC students were friendly and positively than Japanese, so I was taken the photos with many PCCC students.
I was so excited, and I could enjoy the dinner!!
Friday 18 July
International Science Research on Rain Forest between Chulabhorn and Ichikawa students cooperates with the researchers of Burapha University and the officer of Khao Khiao-Khao Chomphu Wildlife Sanctuary
Visit Burapha University
In third day morning, we went to rain forest!
It was the first trip to rain forest for me. I could see the real air plants!!
It was mysterious!!!
I also met big spider and rare insect and plants!! I was moved my mind!!
It was one of the best looking forward topic in this program because I love birds and I expected I could meat some birds!55
Unfortunately I couldn’t meet a bird, but I could watch some nest of birds which I love!!
Next, I went to the river which was very beautiful and clean!!
It looks like a Tarzan jangle!!
I was a so lucky person I think.
After researching rainforest we ate Rambutan nudle. I think it’s most delicious food. Then we went to Burapha University. We learned about bacteria, moss, bee and improvement of a species of rice plant. After visiting those laboratories we went to the aquarium which is in Burapha Uniersity. There were a lot of cute fishes! When I touched Sea cucumber, I had goosefish. And we have dinner at the seaside restaurant. This restaurant is on the sea. We ate a fried fish. To tell the truth, Eaten fish is same as one which I have seen at aquarium. After a meal we danced aerobics at the square. Finally we went a convenience store and market. There were many interesting things in the market. For example beautiful cakes, many clothes, Takoyaki, Sushi, etc. I wanted to eat many! The way to the apartment we danced until arriving there. It was so funny and exciting! I think It was great day.
Saturday 19 July
Review about the research activity (rainforest) at PCC
Field trip at Nongnuch* Botanical Garden, Pattaya
On the 3rd day, we did short presentation in groups in the morning. It was about the research we did in Japanese forest and Thai rain forest. We compared the dates, considered, made graphs, and presented what we thought. When I went to Thai rain forest, I only discovered many differences between Japan and Thailand. But we considered why the differences occurred or the relation of two dates together, and I could deepen my understanding. Also, the teacher of Thai university presented us about creatures in forest. We learned many interesting plants and animals Discussion in English was hard but I think we could develop our skills!
In the afternoon, we went to the Botanical Garden in Pattaya.
At first, we watched Thailand show. Then, we could watch about traditional dances, Thai boxing and drama of conflict between Thailand and another country. Traditional costumes are very gorgeous and beautiful, so I was stunned by this scene. Also, traditional songs are jaunty rhythm, so I was happy!
Next, we watched Elephant show and took a picture with them. They were so smart. They played soccer game, rode a bike, drew a picture and more… Some Ichikawa student bought T-suits which were painted by elephants and I thought they will use these in Japan.
And, we rode a car and went around the park. There is a lot of animal’s figurine in the park, and this scene was so funny. All of students took a picture with these. Also, we saw many Thai Sakuras, but these were very different from Japanese one. Thai Sakuras were more vivid color than Japan one and petal were larger. Also, heights of tree were shorter than Japan. So, I said Miss.Botun (PCCC’s teacher of Japanese) this story, and she said that she wanted to see Japanese Sakura.
After we went around the park, we got a short free time, so I and my buddies bought souvenirs.
We ate dinner with our bubbies. Thai foods were so delicious. In particular, we ate tom yum goong many times!
In the bus, we took a picture with all of members because we had to part soon and we danced!! This was a regular event during this trip 555. But we burst into tear. I thought all of Ichikawa students didn’t want to leave Thailand. Of course, I wanted to stay here more time. PCCC students gave Ichikawa students Thai song, so I was so sad. When we had to part, everyone didn’t stop crying.
This training gave me a lot of valuable experience. I’m sure to think we never forget PCCC and memories of this training. Thank you so much. We always think you.
Next, our turn! I’m looking forward to meeting you again in Japan. I want to take you to anywhere 555.
