From Dunedin! The second day have started. Students are all excited and trying their best. They are very aggressive in using English. Some are able to speak very fluently. If they were given half a year, they’ll master English completely. Of course they are a little confused by the way they speak. At the pronunciation of [ai]. But they’ll get accustomed to their pronunciation very soon.
On the first day, we got very surprised and impressed at the great performance of McGlashan boys. We were introduced to all the students of Mcglashan at the assembly. The principal, Mr. Corkley introduced us to all the students with a warm speech. On behalf of the Japanese group, Mr. Nomura mad a splendid reply speech. It was so great that he received a frantic clapping.
Home families are great. They really try their best to treat Japanese kids as their real ones. Buddies are also very kind, cute, friendly and polite. All the boys are completely satisfied with their life in Dunedin so far.
Yesterday boys and girls visited OtagoUniversity together. It’s the oldest university in New Zealand. Now it attracts huge number of foreign students from Asian countries except Japanese students. I hear about 5,000 foreign students are studying here. I recommend your kid to study at this university. It’s a good choice, isn’t it?
