From St. Hilda’s (Girls)
We had a beautiful day again today. It was shiny and hot just like in summer.
In the morning, we had English language classes as previous days. Our girls completed their two pages of diaries for a magazine, which will be given to them at the end of the English classes.
They were given their best two pages of diaries they had already written as the homework. English teachers checked and corrected their English and gave them back. Students wrote them out fair in black or blue ink and also draw pictures again on the new sheets. They did those tasks very seriously.
In the afternoon, we went horse trekking, or horse riding. The bus departed at 12:30 and traveled to Deborah Bay. They were given some pieces of instruction about what they should do or should not do when they are riding on horses.
At first some of the girls looked anxious or scared but they enjoyed it very much as soon as they started riding. They were very careful not to scream as they were told.
The weather was perfect for horse riding. How lucky they are to have such a good weather during their stay here.
We are going golf tomorrow. And we must conclude our visit tomorrow evening.
I’m sure they have learned a lot and grown up very much.
